The ultimate intention of the Buddhas is for all sentient beings to escape the cycle of birth and death and to become enlightened.
The supreme and endless blessings of Samantabhadra's deeds,
I now universally transfer.....
Look upon the body as unreal,
An image in a mirror, the reflection of the moon in water....
Study (practice) is like trying to row a boat upstream:
To stop is to float backward.
Belief, sincere vow to be reborn in the Pure Land, and
practice of mindfully chanting of “Amituofo”,
are the ticket to board the vessel of enlightenment.
Abstain from unwholesome deeds,
perform wholesome ones,
purify one's own mind:
This is the teaching of the Buddhas.
We wish to be born in the Western Pure Land...
I vow that when my life approaches its end,
All obstructions will be swept away;
I see Amitabha Budddha,
And be born in his Land of Ultimate Bliss.
