Sincerity is a mind without wandering thoughts.
Sentient beings are innumerable . . .
Forgiveness is not just for major wrongs.
Words have the power to destroy . . .
Nurture the heart of respect for all beings . . .
Not liking what we see . . .
Not only should we do what is right . . .
Those who do not understand, ask “Why? . . .
When inclined to take the easy way out . . .
It is not the amount of teachings that matters . . .
As a fissure can split a stone, doubt cripples one’s confidence
Before attempting to fix the issues around us . . .
When disagreeable thoughts of others arise . . .
Although others may cause us pain, we can control our suffering
Do not seek the measure of your actions’ worth in the eyes of others
Expectations prevent us from opening up to what may be truly wonderful
Letting go is more than giving away possessions
Habits can linger like the scent of an empty perfume bottle
When chanting “Amituofo” and a wandering thought arises . . .
The sincere mind has no wandering thoughts
Do not spend time wondering about another’s karmic consequences
Forgiveness does not mean we do not care or that the other person is pardoned
View hatred as an unwanted caller
Upon seeing, hearing, smelling, tasting, and touching, discriminatory thoughts arise . . .
Habits can linger like the scent of an empty perfume bottle
Sarcasm
To no longer be attached is to be free of self-centered thoughts and expectations
Buddhism is like an immense mountain with 84,000 paths leading to the peak
Strive to detect thoughts the instant they arise, before speaking or acting
No wandering thoughts doesn't mean no thoughts at all
Whatever the situation, remain balanced in your chanting
Before teaching others, we cultivate ourselves
Eradicating Bad Habits
We do the right thing not because we expect to change the world . . .
Minding our own business, not that of others.
Do We Fear Causes or Results?
