Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva

Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva is one of the three Pure Land sages, the others being Amitabha Buddha and Mahasthamaprapta Bodhisattva. Amitabha Buddha is frequently depicted standing between Avalokiteshvara and Mahasthamaprapta. Also called Guanyin, the Bodhisattva of Compassion, she is usually recognizable by the small Buddha adorning her crown or headdress.
